Introduction

ResizeImg (operated at resizeimagewithoutstretch.com) is a collection of free, browser-based tools for images, PDFs, and videos. This privacy policy explains what little data we collect, why we collect it, and — more importantly — what we never see.

The most important thing: we do NOT see your files

Every tool on this site processes files entirely in your browser using JavaScript and WebAssembly. Your images, PDFs, and videos are never uploaded to our servers — not temporarily, not for processing, not for anything. We hold no copies of your files. We cannot access, recover, or share them. The processing happens on your device, and the result stays on your device.

Information we collect

Because we never receive your files, the only data we collect is:

• Standard server logs. When you visit our site, our web server automatically records your IP address, browser type, the pages you visit, and the time of each request. This is standard practice for every website on the internet and is used for security and basic operation.
• Anonymous analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages people visit and how they navigate the site. This data is aggregated and anonymous — we have no way to tie it to you personally.

That's it. We don't collect names, email addresses, or anything else.

Cookies

We use cookies for a few straightforward purposes. Some cookies are essential for the site to work (like remembering your dark-mode preference or your cookie consent choice). Others support analytics through Google Analytics 4. Finally, some cookies are set by our advertising partner, Google AdSense, to serve relevant ads.

We don't use dozens of third-party tracking cookies or hidden fingerprinting scripts. The list above is the complete picture.

Advertising & Google AdSense

ResizeImg is free to use because we display ads through Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies — including the DoubleClick (DART) cookie — to serve ads based on your prior visits to this site and others on the web. These ads help us keep the lights on without charging you a cent.

Consent & GDPR

If you are in the European Economic Area or the UK, our cookie consent banner asks you to accept or reject non-essential cookies before they are placed. You can withdraw consent at any time by revisiting the banner through the link in our site footer.

Under the GDPR, we process limited data (server logs, analytics) on the basis of legitimate interest in operating and improving the site. You have the right to request access to any personal data we hold about you, request its deletion, and receive a portable copy of your data. We don't hold much, but whatever we do hold, those rights apply.

California residents have additional rights under the CCPA: the right to know what personal information is collected, the right to request deletion, and the right to opt out of any sale of personal information. We do not sell your data — period.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 with IP anonymization enabled, meaning your full IP address is never stored by Google. Analytics helps us understand which tools are most popular so we can improve the site.

If you prefer not to be tracked by Google Analytics across all websites, you can install the Google Analytics Opt-Out Browser Add-On.

Data retention, security & third-party links

Server logs are retained for a limited period for security auditing purposes and then deleted. Analytics data is retained in Google's systems according to their standard policies. We take reasonable security measures to protect the very small amount of data we do process.

Our site may contain links to external websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites. We encourage you to read their policies when you leave ours.

Children's privacy

ResizeImg is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will post a notice on the site. Continued use of ResizeImg after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
