About ResizeImg

ResizeImg started with a simple frustration. Every "free" image resizer on the internet came with hidden catches: your photos were uploaded to a stranger's server, you had to create an account, you were limited to one file per hour, or your downloads carried a giant watermark unless you paid.

We built ResizeImg to prove that useful software doesn't have to work that way. Our tools process every file entirely in your browser using modern web standards — the HTML5 Canvas API, PDF libraries compiled to JavaScript, and WASM processing engines. When you resize an image or merge a PDF on ResizeImg, the file never leaves your device. There is no upload step, no cloud server, and no copy of your data stored anywhere.

This "client-side first" approach isn't just about privacy (although that part matters enormously). It makes every tool faster than server-based alternatives, because the work happens on your own hardware. It makes the service genuinely free to run, because we don't pay for server bandwidth to process your files. And it means there are no file size limits or daily usage caps to worry about.

What we believe

• Privacy is a feature, not a premium. Your files are your business. Processing them locally means we physically cannot see, copy, or share them.
• Honest tools. No fake download buttons, no bait-and-switch, no watermarks. What you see is what you get.
• Free forever. We keep the lights on with unobtrusive advertising, not paywalls. The tools never cost anything.

Who runs this?

ResizeImg is maintained by a small team of developers and designers who spent years building products for the web. We got tired of seeing useful utilities buried behind signup walls and upselling screens, so we decided to build the tool site we always wanted to use ourselves. We're independent, we answer our own email, and the tools here are deliberately simple because "simple" is almost always the best product design.

How we make money

ResizeImg is free to use because a small number of respectful advertisements appear on the site. These ads are clearly labeled, kept out of the way of the actual tool buttons, and the ad networks we use comply with GDPR, CCPA, and require opt-in consent for personalized advertising in the EU. Advertising never affects how a tool works, and we never sell or lease your data — because there is no data of yours for us to sell.
